Droplet’s founder, Jane Morton, is a pediatrician and international expert on breastfeeding. She was the Director of the Breastfeeding Medicine Program at Stanford University, executive board member of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Section on Breastfeeding and the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. She has designed and implemented systems, policies, and educational curriculums which enable a new mother to leave the hospital confidently prepared to care for and exclusively breastfeed her baby. Her game-changing research rediscovered the critical need for age-old handling skills to overcome common challenges. Her focus is on preventing breastfeeding problems by training new mothers, their partners, and their providers in simple, doable, but critical steps from the first day, no matter what the challenges may be. She is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, Emerita at Stanford Medical Center in Palo Alto, California.
